Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Registered Nurse Supervisor in the Emergency Department located in Hampton, VA . It's a 224-bed Magnet-designated acute care facility recognized for its advanced emergency, cardiac, and orthopedic services. As one of Virginia's busiest Emergency Departments, it provides a high-acuity environment where nurses lead teams that deliver fast, life-saving care.

The RN Supervisor – Emergency Department will partner closely with the Clinical Manager to oversee daily operations, ensure quality outcomes, and maintain patient safety. Responsibilities include supervising nursing staff, coordinating workflow, facilitating communication among interdisciplinary teams, and supporting staff education and development. This role is ideal for an experienced ER nurse ready to take the next step into leadership within a respected, high-volume hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license – Virginia or Compact
• BSN from an accredited nursing program (required)
• 5+ years of nursing experience, primarily in Emergency Department settings
• 1+ year of recent leadership experience (Charge, Supervisor, or similar)
• BLS required within 90 days of hire; ACLS preferred
• Proven ability to lead in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with a focus on teamwork, safety, and patient-centered care
