State Licensed DRG Integrity Specialist

A company is looking for a DRG Integrity Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Perform secondary level review of medical records and code assignment to ensure accurate DRG assignment

Utilize technology for tracking coding errors and data collection while interacting with physicians and management

Research and respond to inquiries regarding compliance and coding issues, while providing education and training on coding practices

Required Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's Degree in Health Information Management preferred

Minimum 4 years of inpatient coding experience in a hospital facility

Minimum 2 years of experience related to specified duties

Coding credential required from AHIMA / AAPC (e.g., RHIA, RHIT, CCS, CPC, or CIC)

Knowledge of DRG reimbursement and auditing concepts
