Packaging Operator - 3rd Shift

Join a leading company in the production of allergen-free sweet potato chips fried in avocado oil. As a Packaging Technician, you will oversee operations involving Alpma machines, brine systems, and filling forms while ensuring cleanliness and sanitation meet high standards. Your role involves setting up and operating high-speed packaging machines to make bags for our chips, identifying and troubleshooting machine stops or jams, and deciding if maintenance is required.

Responsibilities :

Manage and operate specific machinery in the production line.

Follow all safety, sanitation, and production procedures.

Ensure accurate record-keeping and quality control.

Communicate effectively with team members and management.

Essential Skills :

2+ years of machine operating experience at the same company.

2+ years of experience with minor troubleshooting.

2+ years of experience in high-speed manufacturing at the same company.

Experience with GMP, filling machines, and packaging machines.

Additional Skills & Qualifications :

2+ years of machine operating experience (GMP preferred).

Experience in packaging machine operation.

Skills in adjusting feeds and speeds.

Changeover experience.

Basic troubleshooting abilities.

Work Environment :

Work 3rd shift hours from 10 pm to 6 : 30 am, Sunday through Thursday, with occasional overtime on weekends. The facility is clean, temperature-controlled, and has a pleasant aroma reminiscent of French fries. Follow GMP standards, which include wearing a hair net, beard net, smocks, hard hat, and steel-toed shoes.

Job Type & Location :

This is a Permanent position based out of Muskego, WI.

Pay and Benefits :

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $23.50 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
