Occupational Health Clinic / onsite refinery : Medical Assistant

Summary : Participate in all aspects of daily operations in the place of business by performing the following duties.

Pay : $25 - 28 hour

Duties and responsibilities :

  • Assist with all testing and data entry as required by OSHA and State of WA.
  • Workplace Incidents
  • Triage and treat all workplace incidents including injuries, illnesses and medical emergencies for employees, contractors and guests according to Patient guidelines.
  • Work with the onsite mid-level provider.
  • General –responsible for projects and duties as delegated by medical administrator and supervisory staff on site and at Corporate Medical.

Qualifications

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill and or ability required.

Education

  • All medical professionals applying should have a minimum of two years clinical experience in their field, hold a current license or certification and possess a Basic Life support (BLS) card.
  • Medical Assistants
  • Associate’s degree are preferred. Current certification.

    Language skills

    Ability to read, analyzes, and interprets general medical information, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, and documents medical findings in chart using SOAP format. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from other managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

    Computer skills

    Ability to enter data into software program, generates reports, and utilize resources to generate account specific reports. Perform basic work processing and generate spreadsheets. Access and use the Internet and E-mail program.

    Mathematical skills

    Ability to add, subtract, multiple, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute medication dosages and percentages.

    Reasoning Ability

    Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram and or schedule form.

    Physical Demands

    While performing the duties of this job, the person is regularly required to talk or hear. The Associate is frequently required to sit, stand, walk, and use hands to finger, handle or feel. The Associate must occasionally lift and or move up to 110 pounds of weight (delivery of chest compressions in CPR) and frequently may have to lift up to 10 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus.
