Reimbursement Specialist – Healthcare Services

Burr Ridge, IL

$115,000 to $140,000 + Bonus / Benefits

We’re partnering with a growing healthcare organization seeking a Reimbursement Specialist to oversee insurance billing, collections, and reimbursement activities across multiple locations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate billing, timely payments, and strong payer relationships — ideal for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative, patient-focused environment with long-term stability.

Responsibilities

• Collect intake information, verify insurance benefits, and negotiate reimbursement rates as needed for new patients
• Coordinate all insurance and billing functions across multiple branches
• Provide clear explanations of charges to payors and patients as needed
• Post cash receipts into the accounting system and ensure accuracy of entries
• Track and compile all documentation required to complete the billing and reimbursement cycle
• Monitor unbillable items and prepare status reports for leadership
• Provide regular updates and insights regarding uncollectable accounts to the Vice President
