Summary
Administer necessary medical care to associates and others as required or assigned within the scope of nursing practice. Complete physical assessment sheet and reviews medical history. Record work related issues and reports OSHA recordable and workers' compensation cases to the nursing supervisor. Assist associates in the Complex facilities including the Processing Plant, Distribution Center, Feedmills, Hatchery, and Farms. Assist with medical cost management.
Work Schedule : Monday through Friday 10 : 00 a.m. - 6 : 30 p.m. Occasional Saturdays

This position has a target wage of $24.00 - $36.00 per hour, based on experience and qualifications with an annual bonus available (variable depending on performance). Overtime may be available.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Administer medical care for work or non-work-related injuries or illnesses by giving first aid treatment, following appropriate algorithm, or other medical directives or accepted nursing standards
Send to physician or health care facility as appropriate and document information
Enter data into OHM (Occupational Health Management) systems
Complete necessary forms and informs nursing supervisor
Complete information on physical form and other forms as appropriate
Assist with drug screens, CLIA Wave testing, wellness programs, etc., as assigned by nursing supervisor
Assist with medical cost management by early intervention in care of associates with constant follow up
Assist with administration of medical LOAs under direction of Nurse / Wellness Center Supervisor to reduce time away from work
Process physician's notes appropriately
Assist staff with systems for health improvement of associates at the facility
Adhere to all safety rules including PPE, preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures and Process Safety Management related matters
Minimum Education
Experience Requirements
2 plus years related work experience
Current MA license in state of practice
Current certification in CPR in good standing
Good verbal and written communication skills
Occupational experience preferred

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements
Position is active and requires movement throughout the processing plant and surrounding environments of the off-site facilities such as feedmills, hatchery, distribution center, and farms.
When in a clinic environment :
Ability to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another
Ability to access files, supplies and equipment
When in a plant environment :
Exposure primarily consists of wet and moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces
Exposure to extreme temperatures (28-100 Degrees Fahrenheit)
Humidity (0-100%)
May handle product 25 degrees to 50 degrees Fahrenheit
Noise (50db. - 110db.)
May be exposed to dust, feathers, and all chemicals used in poultry processing facility
Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company
