Tax Compliance Specialist

The anticipated salary range for this position is $70K-$80K. The actual compensation offered may vary based on job related factors such as experience, skills, education and location.

Summary

Assists in the preparation of the consolidated federal income tax compliance process and state income / franchise tax compliance process. Assists in the preparation of US GAAP tax provision. Assists with federal and state income tax audits, quarterly estimated payments and extensions, and research and analysis of tax issues and developments affecting the organization.

Core Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparation of the consolidated federal income tax and state income / franchise tax compliance functions. Responsibilities include assisting with maintenance of the federal and state income tax compliance and tax provision software (OIT and OTP).
  • Responsible for preparation of estimated and extension income tax payment calculations and the timely filing of the related returns, vouchers, and electronic funds transfers.
  • Assists in the compilation of research and analysis related to complex tax issues reflected on the federal and state income tax returns, including tax accounting issues, nexus issues, and unitary and combined filing issues.
  • Responsible for preparation of the accounting for income / franchise taxes, including tax provision preparation and tax account analysis and reconciliation.
  • Responsible for tracking tax fixed assets and related depreciation.
  • Assist with indirect tax projects as needed.
  • Participation in other related tax projects, as requested.
