Job Responsibilities :

Ensure that entities comply with all applicable authorities while minimizing tax and reporting burdens.

Manage projects by planning the tax process, coordinating with preparers, and ensuring quality procedures.

Conduct detailed reviews on returns, prepare review notes, and raise potential tax issues.

Identify book-to-tax differences and manage project budgets versus actuals.

Identify when research is needed, frame issues clearly, and report analyses concisely.

Apply standards for preparation of tax returns and accruals (ASC 740-10 / FAS 109 / FIN 48).

Assist with developing, recommending, and implementing tax-efficient strategies to maximize entity benefits.

Identify consulting opportunities to reduce entity liabilities.

Support controversy work by gathering and documenting relevant information.

Introduce and develop new or improved ideas to benefit our firm.

Prepare studies of tax implications and present alternative courses of action.

Ideal Candidate Will Have :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field required.

CPA license, Attorney, or IRS Enrolled Agent preferred.

Master's degree in Taxation or Accountancy preferred.

3+ years of relevant tax experience in public accounting or consulting.

Experience applying and interpreting IRC 704 (c)

Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and tax software applications.

Strong analytical, research, and critical thinking skills.

Ability to manage multiple engagements while meeting deadlines.

Prior supervisory experience preferred.
