Summary

  • The Supply Center Specialist is responsible for on-site product inventory maintenance and optimization of clients Supply Centers while supporting eBusiness initiatives. This role partners closely with the Sales Team to ensure optimal inventory levels, strong customer engagement, and continuous growth of Supply Centers. The ideal candidate will come from a Pharma, Biotech, or Medical Devices background with a solid understanding of scientific inventory management and customer operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage on-site inventory and storage units, including receiving, unpacking, restocking, and maintaining equipment and visual standards.
  • Order and replenish stock using SCMS or manual systems; compile daily usage data and restocking lists.
  • Rotate inventory to ensure first-in, first-out and minimize product expiration.
  • Optimize product mix to align with evolving customer needs and support new product introductions.
  • Maintain branding, labeling, and merchandising standards within the Supply Center.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, process spot orders, and maintain accurate transaction and billing records.
  • Provide timely customer and competitive intelligence to internal teams.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Supply Center teams to forecast inventory requirements.
  • Support eBusiness initiatives and account-specific online ordering processes.
  • Organize and assist with on-site events, product shows, and promotions.
  • Suggest improvements for inventory management and operational efficiency.
  • Train new hires or backfill Supply Center Specialists as required.
  • Required Skills

  • Minimum 2 years of proven experience in customer service, sales, research & development, or a related field.
  • Should be from Pharma, biotech or Medical Devices background.
  • Knowledge of laboratory operations or scientific product usage.
  • Experience supporting eBusiness or digital inventory platforms.
  • Proven ability to drive process improvements and enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Strong customer focus with awareness of market trends and competitors.
  • Familiarity with SCMS systems, or similar inventory management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate needs, solve problems, and maintain urgency.
  • High adaptability with a positive, can-do attitude and willingness to embrace change.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with both customers and colleagues.
  • Basic understanding of inventory systems and scientific supply chain processes.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work safely with chemicals or hazardous materials.
  • Comfortable standing for extended periods during operational duties.
  • Working Conditions

    You'll be required to visit the sites listed below, typically 1 or 2 per day, with the remaining covered on subsequent days.
