POSITION OVERVIEW
MASTIHA is seeking a dedicated, hands-on Manager to lead operations at our Union Market food hall location. This role calls for a passionate, organized, and service-driven leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is committed to upholding our high standards of hospitality, food quality, and operational excellence. You will help oversee daily operations, lead and mentor staff, and collaborate directly with leadership team to continue elevating the MASTIHA guest experience.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Oversee Front-of-House and Back-of-House operations.
- Manage operations to ensure all food meets MASTIHA’s specifications and health, safety, and hygiene standards
- Lead, mentor, and support staff; ensure adherence to all policies, procedures, and uniform standards.
- Collaborate with leadership on culinary direction, menu development, and quality control.
- Track inventory, monitor demand, and maintain an efficient supply chain while minimizing waste.
- Complete daily log reports and communicate operational updates to the leadership Team.
- Ensure full implementation of all company policies and standards.
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and professional development of team members.
- Greet guests, guide menu choices, and ensure warm, friendly, responsive customer service.
- Step into FOH or BOH roles when needed to maintain smooth operations.
- Manage opening and closing procedures.
- Ensure proper equipment maintenance and report urgent issues promptly.
- Consistently uphold recipe accuracy, portioning, food safety, and service standards.
- Maintain a clean, safe work environment and follow daily / weekly cleaning schedules.
- Restock inventory and monitor items requiring replenishment.
- Attend all scheduled meetings and contribute ideas for improvement.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Manager, supervisor, or similar supervisory role in a fast-paced food environment.Knowledge of culinary arts, food production, and kitchen operations.Experience operating standard kitchen equipment (oven, flat top, stove, mixer, knives, etc.).Understanding of food safety best practices (Food Handler and Alcohol Certification required or must be obtained).Familiarity with Google Drive, Sheets, Docs, and basic Microsoft applications.Strong leadership, communication, and team management skills.Highly organized, efficient, and able to multitask in a busy environment.Positive under pressure with strong problem-solving skills.Reliable, punctual, and committed to high standards.Ability to stand and walk for the full duration of shifts.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 50 lbs occasionally.Manual dexterity to operate knives and kitchen tools.Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, and weekendsMust be at least 18 years old.Must be eligible to complete I-9, W-4, and all required company documents (Direct Deposit, NDA, Safety, Emergency Contact, etc.)..ABOUT US
