Lead Distribution Engineer

Insight Global is seeking a Lead Distribution Engineer to join the Lansdale, PA office, where you’ll lead a high-performing electric distribution design team managing projects from 120V to 34.5kV, ranging in value from $5,000 to $2 million. You’ll be responsible for producing deliverables, managing your own project workloads via Jira, and conducting detailed reviews and redlines of engineering packages before returning them to junior engineers. This role involves leading the preparation of utility engineering designs, cost estimates, and customer billing, while mentoring staff in the application of NESC, NEC, ASCE, and other standards. You’ll guide the use of software tools, equipment, and company vehicles, and coordinate internal and external design reviews. As a key interface between Distribution Engineering and stakeholders in planning, environmental, permitting, and construction, you’ll help define project schedules, allocate technical resources, and ensure performance against budgeted hours. You’ll also contribute to policy development, cross-departmental initiatives, and client relationship management in a collaborative and growth-oriented environment. PayRate : $75,000-$95,000

Required Experience :

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil / Structural or Electrical, Engineering from an ABET-accredited engineering program.
• 3-5+ years of experience in Power Distribution Design.
• Advanced knowledge of overhead & underground Distribution facilities and understanding of its integration into daily activities.
• Experience with NESC, ASCE, IEEE, and other industry-relevant standards.
• Proficiency in : PoleForeman, O-Calc Pro, SPIDAcalc, Polywater Pull-Planner, AutoCAD, and other industry software.
