Join Deckorators and Help Launch Our New Flagship Plant!

Deckorators, a UFP Industries brand, is a leader in composite decking, railing, and outdoor living products. We're opening our newest and flagship extrusion and polymer manufacturing facility in Buffalo, NY, powered by our proven and growing Surestone technology. We're looking for an Engineering Manager to help us build it from the ground up.

Build systems, policies, and procedures that set the foundation for success.

Drive extrusion and polymer process innovation at a state-of-the-art facility.

Preferred : experience in profile extrusion processes.

Grow and develop a talented engineering team.

What You'll Do

Lead and mentor the engineering team, including quality and maintenance, creating a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.

Oversee extrusion and polymer manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.

Manage equipment installation, commissioning, and production scale-up during plant startup.

Develop and implement policies, procedures, and best practices for long-term success.

Partner with R&D and Product Development to bring new formulations and technologies to life.

Collaborate with Operations to achieve production and business goals.

What We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related).

710 years of engineering experience in extrusion, polymers, or plastics manufacturing.

Proven operations and plant leadership experience.

3+ years managing and developing teams.

Hands-on knowledge of extrusion equipment and polymer material properties.

Strong project management and problem-solving skills.

Compensation & Benefits Information Salary Pay Range : $110,000-$135,000 annually dependent on experience

  • pay range may be adjusted depending on cost of living

Bonus / Incentive Pay : The percentage of incentive compensation that may be earned varies based on the customer account classification and is calculated based on collected gross profit.
