Key Responsibilities :

Collaborate with Senior Product Owners to shape the product vision and align it with technology strategies.

Lead the design process for innovative applications, overseeing all aspects of their development.

Mentor fellow engineers on quality strategies, focusing on non-functional requirements such as reliability, availability, and security.

Exhibit a comprehensive understanding of both business processes and technical foundations.

Guide peers in adopting effective solution design patterns.

Engage with internal tech communities while exploring and advocating for modern technologies and practices.

Maintain a high-level design perspective across the product portfolio.

Craft and document solutions tailored to meet business objectives.

Conduct analysis on feasibility, product comparisons, capability mapping, and preliminary project estimations.

Employ architecture development methodologies that align with our organizational objectives.

Draft requirements and architectural specifications, detailing functionality and integration with both new and existing systems.

Basic Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree.

At least 4 years of software engineering experience (Internship experience does not apply).

A minimum of 1 year of experience in cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud).

Preferred Qualifications :

8+ years of experience in Software Development, Software Engineering, or Technical Architecture.

Experience in designing architecture for debit card transaction processing applications within banking payment networks.

Familiarity with ISO8583 message formats.

Proven track record of developing high-performing, scalable systems that meet evolving customer needs.

Understanding of the technology evaluation process.

Experience with contemporary development practices, including CI / CD, Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA), and microservices.

Knowledge of API and application integration patterns.

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are outlined below. These ranges are specific to locations, namely Riverwoods, IL : $175,800 - $200,700 and McLean, VA : $193,400 - $220,700.

This position is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include bonuses and / or long-term incentives.
