Locum Nurse Practitioner (NP) - Hematology and Oncology in California

We are seeking a Hematology / Oncology Nurse Practitioner for a 260-day locum tenens assignment in California, starting Nov 3, 2025. This role offers a Monday through Friday schedule with daytime hours and the opportunity to work independently within a collaborative outpatient team environment. Job Details Location : California Start Date : Nov 3, 2025 LOA : 260 days Provider Type Needed : Hematology / Oncology Nurse Practitioner Schedule : Monday - Friday, either 8 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM or 9 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM Responsibilities and Duties Function as an independent provider within a multidisciplinary team in an outpatient setting Manage comprehensive care for both new patient consultations and follow-up appointments Counsel and educate patients and their families on diagnosis, treatment plans, and symptom management Maintain accurate, complete, and timely documentation in electronic medical records Demonstrate advanced clinical judgment and strong problem-solving skills Additional Information At least one year of Hematology / Oncology experience preferred; strong candidates with a passion for the field will be considered Must hold a valid and unrestricted California NP license Required education : Masters, DNP, or PhD in Nursing Current National Board Certification (AANP or ANCC) Current BLS Certification Furnishing license required Must obtain DEA license within 3 months of starting Benefits Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities What are Locum Tenens Jobs?
