Specialty Nurse Practitioner Inpatient Interventional Cardiology - Collaborative team environment wi

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Advanced Practice Provider to join our interventional cardiology team. This individual will play a critical role in the management of patients primarily in the inpatient setting. The ideal candidate is a team-oriented provider with a strong background in cardiology, excellent clinical judgment, and a commitment to quality patient care and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

Inpatient Responsibilities :

Perform initial assessments, consultations and admit patients to the interventional cardiology service.

Manage and coordinate inpatient care, including pre- and post-procedure management.

Complete discharge planning and documentation, ensuring safe transitions of care.

Conduct cardiology consultations under the supervision of attending interventional cardiologists.

Order diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and manage treatment plans.

Collaborate with interventional cardiologists, cardiology fellows, hospitalists, nurses, and ancillary services

Quality Improvement & Administrative Tasks :

Participate in quality improvement initiatives related to inpatient and cath lab efficiency, readmission reduction, and documentation accuracy.

Assist in maintaining data for clinical performance metrics and accreditation.

Collaborate in protocol development and care pathway optimization.

Shift work

Will be one of 3 inpatient APPs, rotating in overlapping shifts during the day.

No night call

Weekends days (Saturday and Sunday 8-4 : 30 PM) : 1 out of 6-8 weekends, additional weekend compensation provided
