The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (BIA, Sr.) delivers expert-level analyses and insights that enhance organizational decision-making with a high degree of impact. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst leads innovative reporting and data visualization development in partnership with stakeholders and analytics teams. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst serves as a liaison between clinical / business units and central analytics. Data Governance Stewardship role commitments are expected. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst has expert proficiency in SQL, data visualization software, and UI design. Primary responsibilities for the role include leading stakeholder groups and analytics teams, healthcare analytics, scorecard & dashboard development, data development, project management for key initiatives, stakeholder requirements gathering, communications and presentations, mentorship, and training.
Responsibilities include aligning BI & Analytics efforts with organizational goals, developing concise and insightful communications, and facilitating requirements gathering to deliver end products that meet end-user needs.
Responsibilities
- Communication, presentations, requirements gathering, and relationships - acts as a key BI & Analytics leader and liaison between hospital leadership, physician leadership, clinical leaders, ISD, and other stakeholders; ensures alignment with organizational goals; develops concise, insightful communications; gathers and translates stakeholder requirements into effective end products.
- Dashboard, data, and scorecard development - leads development of KPIs, management dashboards, and balanced scorecards to improve decision-making; ensures data development follows HCS standards with focus on data security, availability, and reusability.
- Healthcare analytics - provides expertise in healthcare analytics (financial, clinical & operational) to generate action-ready insights; coordinates tools, processes, technologies, and stakeholders for collecting, integrating, accessing, and analyzing information; fulfills reporting and analytics requests as needed.
- Mentorship, training, and liaison to Central Analytics - mentors and trains junior analysts; may have direct reports and perform HR functions; liaises with central analytics to minimize duplication and ensure collaboration.
- Project management - defines projects, develops plans, and prioritizes workstreams for analytics initiatives.
