Job Summary and Responsibilities

Acentra Health is looking for a Technical Writer to join our growing team.

Job Summary :

As a Technical Writer you play an essential role in supporting the creation and maintenance of high-quality documentation in alignment with company standards and project-specific requirements for one or more projects. Building on your foundational writing and editing skills, you will contribute to client projects and support cross-functional collaboration, ensuring clarity and consistency across all materials. Adaptability and attention to detail are crucial as you assist in delivering clear, precise, and accessible content that supports both internal teams and project goals, helping to maintain professionalism and precision in all documentation.

Responsibilities :

  • Contribute as an individual team member, working under close supervision with clearly defined guidelines.
  • Assist in preparing, reviewing, and editing a wide variety of technical documentation throughout the project life cycle, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and adherence to guidelines.
  • Support fellow technical writers in gathering and communicating information effectively across functional and technical teams, as needed.
  • Adjust writing and editing styles to suit the intended audience and enhance document clarity.
  • Champion the consistent application of document standards and design across all deliverables.
  • Participate in the creation and maintenance of internal company documentation, as required.
  • Assist in managing and maintaining documentation tools and resources to support team efficiency and document accessibility.
  • Read, understand, and adhere to all corporate policies including policies related to HIPAA and its Privacy and Security Rules

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2+ years' experience as a formal, technical, or medical writer.
  • Ability to write clearly and concisely in formal English.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with a wide range of technical and non-technical staff, accept constructive criticism of drafts, and manage tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Technical and Professional Communication, Journalism, or another communication-related field preferred
  • Education or experience in a software or health care-related field is preferred.
  • Adaptability, flexibility, and attention to detail are essential.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, and Visio) and other publishing software is required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards is beneficial.
  • This role involves handling sensitive materials and requires a high level of confidentiality.
