Job description

Mobile Equipment Operator 2

Join a dynamic and essential team at the Special School District (SSD), where your skills will directly contribute to the safety and efficiency of our school operations. We are currently seeking a dedicated Mobile Equipment Operator 2 to play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the infrastructure of our district.

Minimum Qualifications

  • One year of experience in mobile equipment operations.

Job Duties

  • Uses various types of lawn equipment to keep the grass mowed.
  • Be able to operate a side-by-side.
  • Operates field tractors that may be equipped with attachments such as bush hogs, belly attachments, blades, hoes, loaders, etc.
  • Some vehicle maintenance.
  • Operates winch trucks, A frame trucks, aerial back lift trucks, pole trucks, and / or trailer.
  • Makes minor repairs to equipment and performs user maintenance necessary to keep equipment in clean, good working order.

    • Position-Specific Details

  • Appointment Type : WAE (Work When Actually Employed) - Part-time working 25-30 hours per week. Not to exceed 1,245 hours in a 12-month period.
  • Work Schedule : Typically, work hours are 8 : 00 am-4 : 30 pm with the days of the week dependent upon the supervisor and the workload for the department.
