In this role, you’ll join Kuiper's
Structural Integrity and Analysis team as a Liaison Engineer to
innovate and solve engineering issues that arise during Kuiper
production operations leading to every flight of our constellation
of satellites. You will be working on the shop floor along side
Manufacturing and Quality teams to develop engineering dispositions
related to non-conformances. You will work hard, have fun, and make

This Liaison Engineer must have
Material Review Board (MRB) experience in aerospace programs, and
must be able to understand the balance between engineering judgment
versus analysis rigor and when each is appropriate.
Key job responsibilities
position will work 2nd shift, 4 : 00pm-2 : 00am, 4 days a week back
half Wednesday-Saturday
non-conformance events of the spacecraft and its ground support
equipment that may occur in all phases of the Kuiper operations :
procurement, storage, handling, manufacturing, assembly, testing,
transportation, final integration, launch and orbital operations
design for manufacturing (DFM) improvements, improved processes and
work instructions
develop corrective actions
fatigue stress analyses when needed to support dispositions,
interpreting established structural analysis reports
Develop analysis methods to address common non-conformances
experts to provide root cause failure analyses
with internal customers, external customers, and suppliers
A day in the life
This Liaison / MRB
Engineer will be providing engineering support to resolve
engineering issues that arise during manufacturing and assembly
processes, quality inspection and acceptance tests, through the
application of engineering and design principles, consulting the
engineering development teams as needed.
About
the team
The Liaison Engineering team is part of the
Kuiper Structural Integrity and Analysis teams (Structural
Analysis, Loads and Dynamics, Materials and Processes and
Reliability) that is ultimately responsible for Integrity of not
only the spacecraft but all other commodities supporting the
program, inside and outside of the Mechanical Engineering group.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in engineering field, or equivalent
Liaison Engineer / Material Review Board (MRB) role with aircraft,
spacecraft, or launch vehicle structures
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to
production
technical projects
fundamentals (statics, dynamics, modal, frequency response, random
vibration, sine and acoustic analyses / tests)
with formal root cause and correct action investigations
and related primary, secondary and tertiary structures
Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Strong understanding or Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing
interpretation)

Our
compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US
geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from
$105,600 / year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000 / year
in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of
factors including market location and may vary depending on
job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total
