Job Summary and Qualifications

POSITION SUMMARY : The Medical Assistant is responsible for direct care and assistance of all clinic patients. Services include but are not limited to : obtaining vitals, medication reconciliation, assisting patients to fill out intake forms, ordering supplies, and stocking the exam rooms. The Medical Assistant will work closely with the providers in the office to schedule clinic appointments and diagnostic tests and gather results for the provider to review. Additional duties may include : scheduling / rescheduling appointments, performing reminder calls, receiving / returning patient phone calls, entering charges, verifying insurance / demographics, registration, data entry, maintaining strict confidentiality, copying / faxing duties and performing other duties as required. Opportunity to cross train in EEG and be a resource when not needed in clinic.
