Cost Manager Or Quantity Surveyor
Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Cost Manager or Quantity Surveyor to support cost management for large-scale, mission-critical data center programs. These projects include next-generation facilities designed for AI and cloud infrastructure, featuring advanced cooling systems, high-density computing environments, and sustainable construction methods such as low-carbon materials and innovative structural solutions.
You will oversee cost planning and control from concept through final account, working closely with internal teams, contractors, and stakeholders to deliver high-value outcomes. This role requires strong expertise in estimating, procurement, and financial management, with proven ability to manage complex budgets for multi-building campuses.
Responsibilities include : leading cost management across all project phases, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and schedule; developing and maintaining detailed cost plans and estimates; producing and presenting monthly cost reports, executive summaries, and financial updates; managing change control processes; overseeing contractor and subcontractor pricing reviews; collaborating with design teams, general contractors, and vendors; driving continuous improvement; supporting cost risk analysis; monitoring market trends; developing strategies for cost optimization; coordinating with scheduling teams; tracking and reporting on cash flow forecasts; reviewing and validating invoices; maintaining accurate cost databases; mentoring junior team members; ensuring compliance with internal financial systems; and building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, vendors, and project teams.
Qualifications include a bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or a related field; well-rounded experience in cost management or project controls within large-scale, mission-critical environments; proven track record in construction consultancy; strong background in budgeting, financial reporting, cost control systems, and Earned Value Management; expertise in procurement strategies and commercial management; RICS accreditation or progress toward certification; excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; and proficiency in industry-standard cost management tools and software.
The salary range for this full-time role is $130K-$150K per year. Ranges are determined by role and level and represent a good faith effort to provide a fair and equitable salary. This range is a reflection of base salary only, not of a total compensation package. Please note Turner & Townsend reserves the right to pay more or less than the posted range, depending on candidate's experience and qualifications.
