Security Guard - Mall Access Specialist

As a Security Guard - Mall Access Specialist in Atlanta, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Access Control Officer where you'll help to deter security-related incidents and foster a welcoming environment within a dynamic retail location. You will monitor entrances, manage badge access, and perform routine patrols while remaining highly visible to guests and staff. By delivering exceptional customer service and clear communication, you'll contribute to a positive experience for everyone onsite. Pay Rate : $18.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : Day Time

Mon 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Tue 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

Fri 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

Sat 06 : 00 AM - 02 : 00 PM

Sun 02 : 00 PM - 10 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner within the retail environment.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and / or suspicious activities.
  • Monitor access points, check credentials, and manage entry and exit of individuals to help to maintain authorized access control.
  • Observe and report any unusual or suspicious activity to Allied Universal management and / or client representatives as directed.
  • Assist in implementing crowd control measures and guiding visitors as needed throughout the retail location.
  • Complete detailed reports of activities, observations, and / or incidents as required by site-specific protocols.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • At least 2 years of security-related experience is required.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and / or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
