ICU Registered Nurse Job Details

Location : Kingwood, Texas 77339 (Houston area)

Healthcare Setting : Cardiovascular Neuro ICU, 22 beds

Assignment Duration : 13 weeks (Start : 9 / 22 / 2025 – End : 12 / 22 / 2025)

Nursing Shift : 12-hour nights (7P-7A)

Hours per Week : 36

Weekend Requirement : 4 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule

Floating Areas : ICC, TCU, ICU

Dress Code : Royal Blue Scrubs

Estimated Weekly Pay : $1460–$1500

ICU RN Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Texas or compact state

BLS and ACLS certifications (required)

Minimum 1 year of recent ICU nursing experience

Critical care training and clinical support skills

Proficiency in pressor medication management, arterial line management, and critical drip management

Strong adaptability and teamwork skills

ICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality patient care to critically ill adults in a 22-bed ICU

Monitor and manage patients on advanced equipment : CRRT, ventilators, MTP, Hemospheres, art lines, Impella, IABP, CABG, EVD, TTM

Administer and titrate critical drips and pressor medications

Assist with procedures including bronchoscopy, central venous catheter (CVC) and arterial line insertion

Document all care and interventions using Meditech EMR

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes

Float to ICC, TCU, and ICU units as needed for clinical support

Comply with unit policies, attendance, and scheduling requirements
