Your Role on the Team

Position Summary :

Incumbent is responsible for operating the telephone switchboard console, overhead paging system, two-way radio, alpha / numeric paging unit, and alarm systems in a fast-paced, complex medical center setting. Incumbent must answer calls in a courteous and timely manner, accurately connect callers to their requested destination, and provide appropriate information and assistance as needed. Incumbent may perform administrative and clerical tasks as needed.

Required Qualifications :

• Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
• Must be willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends, holidays and overtime as assigned
• Knowledge of HIPAA
• Experience handling high volume of phone calls or Call Center experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Demonstrated knowledge of proper telephone usage and etiquette
• Demonstrated experience using MS Office
• Ability to problem-solve, research for answers, and appropriately respond to questions when they arise
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
• Ability to effectively communicate in a clear and concise manner
• Ability to appropriately deal with stressful situations and individuals while remaining calm and professional
