Order Processing Specialist

Ensures that customer orders and instructions are properly conveyed to appropriate areas of the business; Applies marketing codes to ensure proper invoicing, market, region and territory credit, destination and commission allocations; Ensures proper product coding, commodity classification and data processing information; Maintains product, dial and customer specification files; Ensures correct pricing, discount and trade codes are properly applied and are compliant with contract pricing and regulations; Requests bill of materials on new or modified products; Performs data entry to ensure proper shipping instructions and customer order modifications; Assists with departmental training as required; and Performs other assignments relating to order processing and fulfillment as needed.

Educational requirements, experience, specialized knowledge and skills : High School Diploma or GED plus additional specialized courses; One-to-three years' experience with personal computers, office procedures and automated order processing methods; Strong written and verbal communication skills required to effectively present information, respond to questions and interact with customers, shippers and co-workers at all levels within the organization; Requires good organizational skills and attention to detail with good mathematical skills. The successful candidate will also be experienced in using MS Office and MS Outlook.
