Radiologic Technologist

The Radiologic Technologist will provide diagnostic imaging services to inmates in a correctional facility. This role requires adherence to safety protocols, precise imaging techniques, and collaboration with healthcare professionals to ensure accurate diagnosis and treatment of inmates. The technologist must maintain professionalism and confidentiality while working within the unique environment of a correctional institution.

Setting: Correctional

Responsibilities:

• Perform X-rays.

• Maintain and calibrate equipment.

• Position patients correctly.

• Follow radiation safety protocols.

• Prepare and assist inmates during procedures.

• Monitor patient well-being.

• Review and ensure image clarity.

• Collaborate with radiologists.

• Keep detailed records.

• Follow institutional policies and regulations.

• Participate in ongoing training.

• Work with medical and correctional staff.

• Communicate effectively with inmates.

• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• Associate’s degree or higher in Radiologic Technology.

• State of California, Department of Health Services for Radiological Technology as a Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT),

• Venipuncture certificate and also possess a Fluoroscopy permit (where Fluoroscopy is applicable).

• Must have 3 years pf expirence
