Material Planning and Purchasing Manager

We are seeking a seasoned Procurement professional to join our global Electric Power Division (EPD) team as a Material Planning and Purchasing Manager at our Griffin, Georgia facility. EPD is dedicated to delivering sustainable and reliable power solutions to our customers. As our business continues to grow rapidly, we are looking for a strategic leader with deep expertise in supply chain design and management. This role is pivotal to the success of our Griffin Operations Facility and our packaging supplier's ability to meet customer expectations.

In this role you will manage a team of individual contributors responsible for procurement of materials and services needed in the manufacturing process. This team also plans those materials to be available on time to the manufacturing facilities.

What You Will Do :

• Manage supplier selection for in-house managed commodities.
• Evaluate supplier qualifications and lead price negotiations.
• Oversee daily procurement operations including :
• Requesting quotes
• Issuing purchase orders
• Approving invoices / contracts
• Resolving procurement issues
• Managing vendor relationships and supplier quality / delivery
• Maintaining accurate purchasing records
• Analyze historical and market data to assess purchasing decisions and recommend improvements.
• Implement audit and compliance technologies and participate in regulatory meetings.
• Ensure the quality of purchased goods and services; resolve major supplier issues.
• Manage the material planning function of our business to ensure our ERP system is managed to plan accurately to our supply base.

Summary Pay Range : $110,520.00 - $165,840.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
