Construction Project Manager – Public Infrastructure
Location : Onsite (Several Locations Across New Jersey)
Salary : $80,000 – $120,000 + Benefits
JL Recruitment is working with a leading name in public infrastructure delivery, is looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to take charge of key civil and infrastructure projects across New Jersey. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll guide complex builds from concept to completion — ensuring every milestone is met with precision, safety, and quality.
About the Role
As the Project Manager, you'll be the driving force behind each project's success — steering teams, subcontractors, and consultants toward seamless execution. From contract award to final handover, you'll own the process and deliver results that exceed client expectations.
You will :
- Lead on-site operations, subcontractor coordination, and procurement activities.
- Manage RFIs, submittals, schedules, and change orders with accuracy and accountability.
- Track budgets, forecasts, and progress, producing clear reports for senior management.
- Anticipate and resolve technical or logistical challenges before they impact delivery.
- Foster collaborative relationships with clients, engineers, and field teams.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
- Provide day-to-day leadership that keeps the project moving — and the team motivated.
What You'll Bring
Proven experience managing construction or infrastructure projects, ideally in public works or utilities.A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.Strong command of project budgeting, scheduling, and team coordination.Proficiency with MS Project, AutoCAD, Sage Timberline, and Microsoft Office.Excellent communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.A proactive mindset and the ability to lead confidently in a dynamic, on-site environment.What's on Offer
