Nutrition Program Manager
This position is open to Alaskan Residents only. Please check out the residency definition to determine if you qualify. This position is being recruited in Juneau, Anchorage, and Fairbanks. Pay will be determined based on the selected individual's location.
Juneau : $3,964.80 biweekly pay
Anchorage : $3,776.00 biweekly pay
Fairbanks : $3,889.60 biweekly pay
What You Will Be Doing :
The Department of Education and Early Development is seeking a dedicated nutrition professional to manage our array of nutrition programs for students across the State. The successful applicant will be working with and supervising a dedicated team responsible for implementing and administering the Child Nutrition Programs and other USDA food programs in schools, day cares, head starts, and emergency shelters. This is a management level position with responsibility for operations and fiscal oversight of multiple statewide food programs.

Who We Are Looking For :
Our ideal applicant will possess some or all of the following knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience :
Minimum Qualifications :
A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a closely related field; AND Two years of professional experience coordinating, planning, and managing one or more nutrition programs under federal FNS and / or USDA Food Programs guidelines. Substitution : A masters degree from an accredited college or university in food and nutrition, food service management, dietetics, family and consumer sciences, nutrition education, culinary arts, business, or a closely related field will substitute for up to one year of the professional experience.
