This is a hybrid based role - three days a week in Pittsburgh on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. This job has the goal of providing the opportunity to acquire practical experience through direct exposure to the related business line(s) and to develop the next generation of diverse business professionals. To that end, the program will provide hands-on training and experience in the business line, expose the various career opportunities in the business line, and prepare participants for positions in the business.

Typical responsibilities include providing services to the day-to-day operating objectives of the assigned area, participating in projects and programs appropriate to the needs of the assigned area, participating in the planning and implementation of projects and initiatives, conducting research and reporting including recommendations or proposals for action. The role is within the health plan finance organization with a specific focus in areas including : forecasting financial performance, analyzing financial trends, preparing monthly financial reports, collaborating with cross-functional teams, utilizing data analytics and visualization tools, developing clear and concise presentations, and identifying and implementing process improvements.

Required qualifications include full or part-time enrollment in an accredited college or university baccalaureate program. Preferred qualifications include a degree path in one of the following : Bachelor of Science in Finance, Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) with a concentration in Finance, Bachelor of Science in Financial Mathematics, or Bachelor of Science in Computer Science. Anticipated graduation date is 2027 or 2028.

Essential job functions include communicating effectively, providing entry-level professional services, undertaking and participating in projects and programs, participating in the planning and implementation of unit projects and initiatives, conducting research and reporting, undertaking related studies or enrichment programs, and performing miscellaneous job-related duties.
