Job Title : Service Mechanic

Job Description

As a Service Mechanic, you will assess, diagnose, repair, and replace damaged or worn parts for a variety of utility equipment manufacturers. This role requires expertise in hydraulics and electrical service, with a focus on hydraulic fluid power and pneumatic tool troubleshooting. You will fit bearings and overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment, diagnose faults using pressure gauges, flow test equipment, and calibration devices, and rebuild gearboxes, outriggers, and boom lift cylinders. Your responsibilities will include performing initial inspections, diagnostics, parts requisition, dismantling and reassembling heavy equipment using appropriate tools, testing mechanical products and equipment after repair or assembly, and performing routine maintenance tasks on equipment and vehicles.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, diagnose, repair, and replace damaged or worn parts for utility equipment manufacturers.
  • Work with hydraulics and electrical services for hydraulic fluid power troubleshooting.
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic tools and fit bearings.
  • Overhaul mobile mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
  • Diagnose faults using pressure gauges, flow test equipment, and calibration devices.
  • Rebuild gearboxes, outriggers, and boom lift cylinders.

Essential Skills

  • Electrical, Hydraulics, Diesel, Trailer repair
  • 3 plus years of service or trailer mechanic experience
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Vocational Technical School or Military Wheeled Mechanic or related training is a plus
  • Experience with blueprints and schematics
  • Knowledge in pneumatics, welding, heavy equipment, diesel engine

    Job Type & Location

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $40.00 / hr.
