Core Duties :Perform a wide range of laboratory tests across multiple areas (microbiology, blood banking, serology, chemistry, hematology, etc.).
Collect and process specimens according to established policies.Operate laboratory instruments and perform quality control checks.Analyze and interpret results, ensuring accuracy.Communicate results to physicians, nursing staff, and patients as needed.Maintain equipment, troubleshoot malfunctions, and adhere to safety policies.Provide care for patients of all age groups, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.Qualifications :
Education : Associate's degree in Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT) from an accredited institution.Licensing : Eligible for or currently registered as an MLT (ASCP) or equivalent; must hold or be eligible for North Dakota licensure.Certifications : BLS certification (CPR), must attend Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training.Experience : Six to twelve months of experience in a hospital training program.Other : Regular, punctual attendance is required. Must be able to adapt to shifting duties and emergency situations. Must hold a valid North Dakota driver's license.Skills :
Strong analytical skills to assess laboratory data and quality control results.Ability to operate complex medical equipment.Good communication skills for working with healthcare teams and patients.Must work independently and be able to troubleshoot issues and make decisions with minimal supervision.Salary Range :
$25.50 to $37.60 per hour (depending on experience).
