Overview :

We are seeking a knowledgeable and hands-on Human Resources Manager to lead HR functions for our team in Marshall, MI. This role will serve as a strategic partner to leadership while also managing day-to-day HR operations. The ideal candidate will bring a balance of strategic HR expertise and practical execution, with strong skills in employee relations, compliance, and talent management.

Key Responsibilities :

Serve as the primary HR contact for managers and employees, providing guidance on policies, employee relations, and organizational best practices.

Oversee recruitment, onboarding, and retention strategies to ensure top talent acquisition and a positive candidate experience.

Manage performance management processes, including coaching managers, developing training, and supporting employee growth.

Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws, including FMLA, FLSA, ADA, and other applicable regulations.

Administer compensation and benefits programs, partnering with leadership to ensure competitive practices.

Lead employee engagement initiatives to support a positive workplace culture.

Investigate and resolve employee relations issues with professionalism and confidentiality.

Partner with leadership to design and implement HR policies, procedures, and programs that align with organizational goals.

Maintain HR systems and employee records with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.

Qualifications :

Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's or HR certification a plus).

5+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial capacity.

Strong knowledge of HR laws, compliance, and best practices.

Proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels of an organization.

Excellent communication, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills.

Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
