University Medical Partners (UMP), a partner of Stanford Medicine, is seeking a full-time BC / BE General Surgeon to join our surgeons in Pleasanton.

Position Details :

Full-time schedule includes 36 patient contact hours per week

Community-based general surgery practice with services provided in both ambulatory and hospital settings

Outpatient clinic located adjacent to hospital

Equitable shared call schedule : 5 24-hour hospital call shifts per month (or the equivalent)

Hospital call coverage at Stanford Tri-Valley Hospital, including emergency department support, inpatient consults, and admissions

Robust ancillary and clinical support staff to optimize patient care and workflow

Collaborative environment with UMP and Stanford School of Medicine surgical faculty, sub-specialists, hospital teams, residents, and community partners

Participation in teaching and mentoring residents with the SHC Tri-Valley Family Medicine Residency Program

Active role in the strategic growth of the general surgery service line across UMP, SMP, and SHC

Serve a diverse patient population, reflecting the community's broad demographic and clinical needs

Qualifications :

MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school

Completion of residency training in General Surgery from an accredited program

BE or BC in General Surgery

Unrestricted DEA certificate
