Pediatric Hospitalist Physician

Pediatrician Locums Job Covering Inpatient Consults and PEDS Floor January-March 2026

One of our valued partners is seeking Pediatricians to provide 24-hour in-house coverage for inpatient consults and the pediatric floor at a community hospital. This opportunity offers a consistent schedule, a manageable patient load, and a collaborative environment supported by an in-house Neonatology team.

Details / Requirements :

Coverage needed : January through March 2026

Schedule : 24 / 7 in-house coverage, typically 6-8 shifts per month

Rotation : 48 hours on / 48 hours off, occasional 72-hour blocks

Job Duties : Inpatient pediatric consults and PEDS floor coverage (5-bed unit, 1-2 patients at a time)

ED Consults : A handful per shift

Support Staff : Neonatologist in-house for NICU; patients requiring specialty care are transferred out

Credentialing : Fast-track onboarding available for January start

Certification Requirements :

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics

Active state medical license or ability to obtain
