The Department of Hematology & Medical Oncology is comprised of physicians, nurses, researchers, advanced practice providers (APP) and other healthcare professionals specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with cancers or disorders of the blood. We believe in compassionate patient care and we will always put patients and their family members first. By joining the Medical Oncology team as a Medical Assistant, you will collaborate with fellow staff to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for patients, families and visitors. You will assist with rooming patients, reconciling their health information, answering in-basket messages, answering patient questions, providing reassurance, and communicating provider recommendations to patients. All your work helps ensure the best possible health outcomes.
