Imagine walking the floor at start‑up : you’ve assigned operators, confirmed materials are staged, verified quality checks, and the line is humming. Throughout the day, you track performance, coach your team, and keep production on pace—then ensure off‑shift teams maintain the same standard.
The challenge
- Execute the production plan and translate it into daily work assignments.
- Monitor production metrics and adjust resources to meet the schedule.
- Partner in hiring and selection for production roles.
- Guarantee adherence to standardized quality checks across all stations.
- Lead and expand cross‑training; hold frequent progress reviews and refine training plans.
- Set performance standards, monitor and document results, implement disciplinary actions when necessary, and provide feedback through formal appraisals.
- Assist with OSHA‑compliant safety inspections and maintain a clean, organized shop floor.
- Manage inventory readiness : raw materials, supplies, packaging, and finished goods.
- Direct and control production activities on off shifts.
You bring
High school diploma or equivalent; bachelor’s in business management, operations management, engineering, or related discipline preferred.At least 3 years of supervisory experience.Demonstrated success in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality management systems, and manufacturing principles.Understanding of CNC and milling operations.Proficiency with Microsoft applications and experience with ERP systems.How you work
