Position Overview

As a Software Developer on the ObservSMART platform team, you will design and develop the software that powers our national patient safety and compliance systems. You’ll build backend services, APIs, and user interfaces that integrate with IoT devices and real-time data pipelines—deployed across Kubernetes-based distributed architectures for high availability and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend services using Python (Django) and related frameworks.
• Build secure and performant RESTful and WebSocket APIs to support web, mobile, and IoT clients.
• Implement and optimize scalable distributed systems deployed via Kubernetes.
• Collaborate with firmware, DevOps, and QA teams to ensure seamless integration between hardware and software systems.
• Write maintainable, well-documented, and testable code following modern development standards.
• Participate in design discussions, sprint planning, and peer code reviews.
• Troubleshoot, profile, and resolve issues in distributed production environments.
• Contribute to automation, observability, and deployment workflows.
