Overview

Position Name : Multi-Office - Investment Management - Private Funds Institutional Investor Midlevel Associate

Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading international law firms, seeks to hire a midlevel associate to join our Investment Funds : Investor Representation team within our investment management practice. The team is Chambers USA Band 1-ranked.

Responsibilities

  • Represent institutional investors in connection with their investments in private funds, including private equity, private credit, real estate, and co-investment funds.
  • Negotiate purchase and sale agreements for secondary transactions and / or assist in forming private funds (experience in these areas is helpful but not required).
  • Manage deals with strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills.

Qualifications

  • At least three to five years of in-house, government, and / or law firm experience in representing institutional investors in private funds.
  • Strong academic credentials and excellent deal management, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Active member of the bar in the jurisdiction of the Morgan Lewis office for which you are applying.
  • Offices and Eligibility

    The candidate may be resident in any of our offices in Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, New York, Orange County, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Washington, DC.

    Compensation and Benefits

  • For positions in NY, CA, and / or Washington, DC, the salary wage range is $225,000 to $435,000.
  • The base salary or hourly wage will be determined during the interview process and may vary based on experience, expertise, current business needs, and market factors. Final compensation may be outside the stated range for other reasons.
  • The total compensation package may include medical, financial, and other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave).
  • Details of participation in benefit plans will be provided if an offer is extended. If hired, the employee will be in an at-will position, and the firm reserves the right to modify compensation and benefits at any time.
