General Purpose :
The Street Medicine Outreach Specialist partners with their medical teammate to meet the needs of our patients directly in the community. This position will be working outside of the traditional clinic setting, working with patients of all backgrounds to ensure everyone receives the care they need with dignity and respect. This unique opportunity will both ensure patients are properly registered within Strides system and help community members navigate financial and community resources.

Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts

We offer a competitive hourly range of $20.00 - $24.26 depending on your experience.
This range reflects STRIDE's good faith estimate of potential compensation at the time of posting. The final salary for the selected candidate will be determined based on several factors, including experience, education, budget, internal equity, specialty, and training.
Working Environment and Physical Activities :
The work environment and physical demands for this role are consistent with those typically encountered in a healthcare setting. The position requires medium physical effort, including lifting up to 40 lbs., pushing or pulling under 20 lbs., and frequent activities such as handling, fingering, feeling, talking, hearing, and distinguishing colors. Employees will also be expected to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, squat, climb stairs, balance, and reach overhead on a regular basis, with near and far visual acuity and depth perception required. Mental demands include comparing, copying, computing, compiling, analyzing, coordinating, negotiating, communicating, instructing, and maintaining effective interpersonal skills and behaviors.
Health, Safety and Environmental
Employees in this role must be prepared to work in environments that may involve exposure to blood and body fluids, biohazards, toxins, chemicals, and communicable diseases, as well as dust, fumes, gases, and other airborne particles. Work conditions can also include extreme temperatures, wet or humid environments, outdoor exposure, loud or unpleasant noises, electrical hazards, grease or oil, and potentially combative situations. The role may require operating vehicles or machinery and the use of protective clothing or equipment. Employees are expected to comply with all safety training and instructions, maintain a clean and safe work environment, and take responsibility for the health, safety, and welfare of themselves, their colleagues, patients, and the public.
