Unit : Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)

Employment Type : Travel nurse (locum tenens)

Start Date : October 27, 2025

End Date : January 24, 2026

Contract Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : 12 Hour Nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Hours per Week : 36 (option for 48 hours per week)

Guaranteed Hours : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570 - $1680

Parking : Available

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Alabama or compact state (no temporary licenses)

Minimum 1 year of CVICU or cardiac specialty experience (18 months total RN experience required)

Associate degree in nursing or higher

Certifications : AHA ACLS, AHA BLS, AHA NIHSS (PALS preferred for pediatric unit)

Ability to float to other hospital units as needed

Proficiency with Meditech EMR

CVICU Nurse Responsibilities

Deliver specialized cardiac care to adult patients in a CVICU setting

Monitor and manage patients from the Cath Lab, Emergency Department, and Acute Care units

Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes

Maintain a safe, secure, and comfortable environment for cardiac patients

Float to other units and hospitals as required

Adhere to facility protocols, dress code, and documentation standards
