Job description

LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Occupational Medicine MD in Georgia!

About The Position

We are seeking a board-certified Occupational Medicine Physician for a 12-month locum tenens assignment in Georgia, starting Nov 15, 2025. This position is non-clinical with no direct patient care and involves being available to take calls from Nurse Practitioners during 5a-3p staff hours. Flexible response times are permitted, with same-day call-backs preferred.

  • Schedule : 5a-3p are NP staff hours; provider is on-call for NP inquiries and may return calls the same day

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as a collaborating physician, available by phone for consultation with Nurse Practitioners as needed
  • Respond to clinical questions and provide guidance to NP staff during designated hours
  • Participate in chart reviews only if specifically requested and mutually agreed upon with NPs
  • Maintain compliance with state licensure and board certification requirements

  • Must be board certified in Occupational Medicine
  • Georgia medical license required
  • No direct patient care responsibilities
  • The volume of NP inquiries is expected to be low
