Job Description

A growing mid-sized organization is seeking an experienced IT Manager to lead its technology operations and drive strategic initiatives. This hands-on leadership role oversees the entire IT infrastructure—including networks, servers, security, business applications, and end-user support—while guiding a small internal team and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Technology Leadership : Direct and mentor an internal IT team and managed service providers to ensure high system availability, security, and performance.

Infrastructure Management : Oversee networks, servers, cloud services, telecommunications, backups, and disaster recovery planning.

Strategic Planning : Identify and execute technology projects that align with business objectives and improve operational efficiency.

Budget & Procurement : Manage IT budgets, vendor contracts, and purchasing of hardware, software, and services.

Policy & Compliance : Develop and maintain IT policies, security standards, and best practices to meet regulatory and internal governance requirements.

User Support : Ensure responsive help desk operations and effective communication with stakeholders across multiple departments.

Continuous Improvement : Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend upgrades or enhancements to support company growth.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).

5–10 years of progressive IT experience with at least 2 years in a management or team-lead role.

Proven success overseeing networks, enterprise applications, and IT security in a multi-location environment.

Strong vendor management, budgeting, and project management skills.
