Territory Sales Manager
The Sales Manager will be responsible for managing and developing relationships with channel partners to drive revenue and meet sales targets. Depending on the channel responsibility, traveling within the United States, managing accounts, and attending trade shows may be required. This role will primarily be responsible for ownership of relationships through strong communication and support skills and maintaining and growing product sales through all channels and accounts and seeking new accounts that will contribute to growth plans. The Channel Sales Manager needs to be a self-motivating and energetic professional. This position will manage a business channel including the customer base, sales forecast, goals, and basic expenses budgeting.
Core functions include developing and executing business plans and sales strategies to ensure attainment of corporate sales goals and profitability, achieving targeted sales goals for all sales channels and brands, identifying opportunities for growth, analyzing sales data to implement rolling changes to strategy based on market dynamics, leading interactions with cross-functional teams to resolve ongoing problems, developing trust-based relationships with brand sales leaders, forecasting in collaboration with Sr. Leadership, and traveling regularly to visit jobbers, warehouses, trade shows, and assigned events.
Qualifications and requirements include a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Sales, or equivalent experience, 3-5 years of experience in dealership, customer, channel, or client relationship management, hands-on experience in delivery of timely and efficient summary of reports, and a valid State issued Driver's License. Skills include excellent verbal and written communication, time management, and solid organizational proficiencies, ability to manage tight travel schedules and budget, knowledge of basic mechanical skills, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Sales Force, Concur or other expenses systems, ability to respond to complaints, ability to effectively present information and presentations to management and customers, ability to write, speak and comprehend English, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw an interpret graphs, ability to read and understand basic business financial documents, ability to solve practical problems, ability to interpret a variety of instructions, and ability to overcome customer objections and concerns.
Travel is required 75% of the time. Supervisor responsibilities include leading a team member who coordinates, supports, trains, and is a knowledge resource for other team members. Physical requirements include exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally and / or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects, and performing physical activities such as standing, grasping, balancing, walking, feeling, kneeling, pushing, crawling, crouching, pulling, talking, reaching, lifting, hearing, and having visual acuity to operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment. Working conditions include a professional office environment and exposure to inside and outside environmental conditions when traveling.
