NICU RN Job Details Estimated Weekly Pay : $2250 - $2310 Location : Urbana, Illinois (61801) – Illinois nursing jobs Facility : Level 3 or higher NICU, Trauma 1 hospital Employment Type : Travel RN (locum tenens) Shift : Night shifts, 7 : 00PM – 7 : 30AM Shift Duration : 12-hour nights Hours per Week : 36 Assignment Length : 13 weeks (Start : 9 / 8 / 2025 – End : 12 / 6 / 2025) NICU Registered Nurse Qualifications 3 years of recent NICU nursing experience at a Level 3 or higher facility Experience in Trauma 1 hospital settings Prior travel nursing experience preferred Proficiency with EPIC EMR required ASN required; BSN preferred Active Illinois RN license in good standing BLS certification (American Heart Association) NRP certification (American Heart Association) NICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive neonatal care using evidence-based nursing practices Conduct initial assessments and develop individualized care plans for NICU patients Implement and adjust care plans based on ongoing evaluation and family needs Monitor intake and output for assigned neonates Support mothers with breastfeeding initiation and baby-friendly care Administer medications using bar code scanning procedures Report on patient assignments during multidisciplinary rounds Maintain accurate documentation of nursing care Promote patient and staff safety by identifying and reporting safety hazards Collaborate with healthcare colleagues and participate in ongoing professional development Apply now to join our healthcare team as a NICU Registered Nurse in Urbana, Illinois and make a difference in neonatal care!
