Manufacturing Operations Manager
You will lead a large team of experienced manufacturing operations professionals and production team leaders. You will establish long-term objectives and guidelines for managing and monitoring cell performance and productivity. You will direct scheduling and sequencing of work, as well as production innovation to optimize production. You will also lead projects and resolve production problems, develop operating plans and budgets, monitor industry trends, and recommend investments to improve the organization's production capabilities. As the leader, you will be responsible for alignment of the Engines portfolio to the Burnsville transformation and recovery plans.
What You Will Do :
- Manages and ensures all quality related items for the unit or shift are complete and documented so that established quality standards are met.
- Leads cost reduction efforts and process improvements for the unit or shift to ensure efficiency of operations and cost effectiveness.
- Leads scheduling for the unit or shift to ensure that operations run according to established production schedules.
- Leads the sequencing of work, such as build and delivery, for the unit or shift to ensure smooth operations and optimal use of resources.
- Heads materials and logistics problem resolution for the unit or shift to ensure availability of materials and smooth operations.
- Establishes performance objectives and leads cell performance and productivity.
- Leads production innovation, including additive manufacturing, for the unit or shift to enhance production capabilities.
- Partners with customers to understand customer needs and issues and ensure that the customers receive satisfactory standards of service.
Qualifications You Must Have :
Typically requires University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.Qualifications We Prefer :
7+ years' experience in a leadership position in a manufacturing environment.5+ years' manufacturing experience within Aerospace Industry.Collaborative leadership behaviors that emphasize high goal setting, team empowerment and providing support.Proven ability to facilitate difficult conversations and communicate early, and concisely with individuals at all organizational levels.The ability to remain focused under pressure to assess and resolve challenges.Strong background of leading in a fast-paced, high mix manufacturing.Drives change and innovation through smart risk taking.What We Offer : Benefits
