Job Description Summary

Talented and motivated professional who works independently to perform full lifecycle recruiting that supports the vision and implementation of the proactive recruitment and retention strategy of the Human Resources team. The Recruiter will also sustain and advance the Universitys diversity recruitment strategy and consistently deliver upon best practices for search and selection in a higher education environment.

Job Description

Essential Functions :

• Engages with a team of talented professionals who seek to create the best experience for applicants and hiring managers to enable Wake Forest to attract top talent.
• Consults with departmental leaders / hiring managers to create hiring plans and objectives to meet hiring needs.
• Builds applicant sources through traditional and creative recruiting such as researching and contacting community services colleges employment agencies recruiters media and internet sites; provides organization information opportunities and benefits; makes presentations; maintains rapport.
• Represents the University at career fairs and other networking events highlighting the benefits of working at Wake Forest and living in the Winston-Salem area.
• Evaluates the job description and qualifications; demonstrates a thorough understanding of the day-to-day expectations for the position.
• Reviews applicant qualifications; provides recommendations to hiring managers regarding applications and selection process; conducts individual and committee interviews when need arises.
• Delivers on established recruitment metrics with a target of filling requisitions within 60 days.
• Embraces opportunities to continually enhance the recruitment experience through innovation and process improvement.
• Mitigates risk for the University by understanding current legislation; enforces regulations with managers.
