This unit's leader is new and brings with her a wealth of experience and knowledge. She is able to put a fresh perspective on things and be a positive change agent. She started her healthcare career in a secretary position and transitioned to a nurse. Through hard work and dedication, she has become an amazing nurse leader. She is able to understand each role that her team members are in and has an understanding of each of the hardships that come with them. Her leadership style is three-fold : transitional, coaching and pace-setting. She encourages new ideas and new ways of doing things for her team in order to foster positive outcomes. She prides herself on the ability to encourage and uplift each individual to fulfill their professional potential. Once of the great things about this unit is that every week, the Team Member recognition board is highlighted and championed. Under the direction of the director / charge nurse, the RN utilizes the nursing process, facilitates patient care making nursing assessments and diagnosis, formulates care plans based on the diagnosis and implements and evaluates the plan of care. Qualifications Education : - Diploma / Associate's Degree Licensure / Certification / Registration : - Florida Registered Nurse License - BLS - ACLS - NIH complete prior to completion of orientation Special Skills / Qualifications / Additional Training / Experience Required : - Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
