Systems Engineer II

We are seeking a skilled Systems Engineer II to analyze functional business requirements and design specifications for mission critical defense applications . This role supports DoD contracts by identifying and resolving system design challenges , enhancing existing systems, and leading new IT infrastructure developments. The ideal candidate will work closely with engineering teams, ensuring optimal system performance and compliance with DoD security and operational guidelines

Key Responsibilities :

• Analyze business requirements and design specifications to develop secure and efficient IT systems.
• Identify and resolve issues within existing system architectures , implementing enhancements where necessary.
• Participate in the analysis, design, and implementation of next-generation IT systems for defense applications.
• Evaluate commercially available IT solutions (COTS) and ensure seamless integration into DoD infrastructure.
• Translate customer needs into technical requirements , ensuring feasibility for engineering teams.
• Work closely with programmers, software engineers, and systems architects to maintain system integrity.
• Provide expertise in telecommunications, programming languages, operating systems, database management, and middleware
• Ensure systems comply with DoD security protocols, risk management frameworks (RMF), and cybersecurity best practices

Required Qualifications :

Master's Degree or higher with 1 year of experience OR

3 years of experience with a bachelor's degree OR
