Job Description\n

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med / Surg position in Michigan requiring an active MI RN license and at least two years of recent Med / Surg experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a Med / Surg unit with 25 licensed beds
  • Patient ratio is typically 1 : 3 or 1 : 4
  • Responsible for daily patient assessments, medication administration, IV drip monitoring, telemetry monitoring, patient admissions and discharges, daily rounding with the interdisciplinary team, and assisting with patient transfers
  • Uses Centriq EHR and Pyxis medication dispensing system
  • 12-hour day shifts with a six-week rotating schedule including some weekends
  • May work alone when census allows for staffing adjustments
  • No floating to other units required
  • Scrubs required with no specific color requirement
  • Must be comfortable working independently based on census needs
  • Collaborate daily with an interdisciplinary team

  • Active MI RN license is required
  • Minimum two years of recent Med / Surg RN experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required
